CAF Final

Posted in , , , ,
Well folks, all is said and done with the CAF entry. I await official judgement. That said, looking at the other entries, there is a great deal more for me to learn in my final quarters at the Art Institute. I'm proud of what I accomplished in such a short time.

The majestic Girraphalant...

Posted in , , , , ,
I was so thoroughly inspired by  "Indie Game", that I really feel a new fervor to become more active online and get my work to more eyes.  So without further ado, Here is a current work in progress.

This is an experiment with hand painted textures. The model and sculpt were Zeb Wood's and the original concept of the Elephant/Giraffe hybrid was that of Deb Schoolman, a classmate of mine at the Art Institute. Right now it's a bit shiny, but I was happy with how the texture was able to combine the two skin patterns.  I need to re-render it with a slightly higher poly model and tweak the setting a bit. This was painted in zBrush.
